Just stepping away from the tutorials a bit...we can get back to imaging later in the week. I just stumbled across an A/W German ELLE Magazine Runway Edition from 2007. I noticed a lot of the looks are still wearable and amazing. I started to think about the upcoming Fall 2010 shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I wonder which looks will not make it on to the runways. Here are my predictions of looks that will give you deja vu as they strut down the runways.
Fedoras- These you can dress up or dress down; they are edgy and effortlessly chic. I don't see these going anywhere any time soon. I do see the brim getting a bit wider for a more classic and dramatic affect and also paired with a well tailored suit. Yeah... I definitely see that happening...
Clutches-still a classic look. However, they have also been reinvented by designers to appeal to a more youthful and trendy consumer making some over-sized, jeweled and convertible. Fendi did it best in 2007 with this look. Every fashionista should have at least one fabulous clutch.

Gloves- How could you not love gloves?! Another timeless accessory... They have been the status quo for rockers and the edgy stylista for the past few years; with a lot of swag, any fashionista can pull this off. I, personally, love them with a crop wool jacket in the fall, a fabulous clutch and a fedora. The perfect look.
Shoes-Platforms, Detailing and flats, oh my! Platforms are ruling the runways along with detailing. Adding unique touches like these D-squared Brass Knuckle Boots. Designers are telling stories with these pieces giving us a dramatic and themed effect. These pieces are timeless and limited editions. So if u happen to purchase a pair, they will become retro chic in just a few seasons.
This will definitely continue on the runways. People are finding their own personality in these fashions making the buying experience a bit personal and romantic, in a sense. So ladies if you thought platforms were a passing fad and haven't mastered the technique of sashaying in your plats, don't fret! Flats are, without a doubt, becoming just as fashionable as any stiletto from the Chanel ballerinas to the lace up Louboutin. The comfortable Chic looks are definitely smart and fabulous. Flats are holding their own with the city girls.
Belts- Wide and thin; as long as they are cinching the waist will probably never go out of style. As long as women love a small waist and hourglass silhouette (which we always will), this look will be around . I particularly love the cinch with bulky garments for a more dramatic affect. Fendi mastered this look with sooooo many cool wide belts and bulky sweater the last two years...the look posted here is a gem.
Sequins - is the new patent leather
Pants- whether Skinny legs or leggings, these retro looks are relevant and wearable to the times. Anyone can pull this look off and at any price point, the look goes from day to night and is very comfortable and can be very sexy at the same time. I can't imagine abandoning this trend.
This concludes my short list on predictions; we shall see if my forecasting was accurate in the next few weeks. I'm UBER excited!!! Ok well that's all for now ... byl!!!!
